Newspaper Cuttings
Ann Lund Christensen from Nørresundby was born disabled and
paints with her mouth. “… I was brought up with the attitude that
I can do the same as ordinary people. So when I have set myself a
goal, I am really determined.” (Aalborg Stiftstidende) |

Newspaper Cuttings
For Ann Lund Christensen it is never a
question of whether or not things can be done but rather an
affirmation that they shall be done. This determination and
“get-up-and-go” has borne her through many times when new
challenges had to be faced rather than accepting the limitations
imposed by the fact that she has been paralyzed from the neck down
since birth.
It so happened that in 1985, painting in watercolours was the
first art form that Ann turned her attention to, not counting
felt-tips, and coloured pencils, which she had used from the age
of two. She gained wider knowledge |

through taking art as a high
school subject. For Ann the challenge of using watercolours then
as now is that there is no room for mistakes; things cannot be
painted over. (Aabybro-Posten, June 1997)
